Sapphire Dance & Fitness is proud to be an International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) dance school where students have the opportunity to dance in examinations for street and freestyle dances in which they receive a certificate and a medal! This is optional for dancers but a great opportunity to show off their skills. Follow the links below to find out more about IDTA!
Amy is an experience freestyle dancer and teacher. After training from an early age in freestyle dance, ballroom and latin and rock 'n' roll she progressed onto taking her IDTA freestyle teachers exam passing with a distinction. Since teaching Amy has furthered her training completing a BA in Dance and Performance at Buckinghamshire New University and qualifying as a cheerleading coach with the UKCA. Currently she is studying for her MSc in Dance Science at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Dance science is a huge passion of amys, understanding the dancers body to create a safe and progressive learning environment to improve dancers physical fitness and awareness of their own potential. Aside from her studies Amy has spent her years teaching dance to all ages enjoying every moment building dance skills and most importantly having fun!
Sapphire Dance & Fitness is looking forward to being a part of the community at Roade. The aim for the school is to offer classes to all, offering opportunities to dance as a team for events and performances, including charity events!
The future is bright for SDF and we look forward to be able to offer classes in the following: toddler/parent classes, classes to suit those with disabilities and a scholarship scheme for children from low income families. Should you have any questions or suggestions SDF would love to hear from you!
